Chybotek Szklarska Poręba
Chybotek is one of the oldest tourist attractions in the town of Szklarska Poręba, a rock formation visited already in the 19th century.
It is the highest located heptagonal stone weighing several dozen tons with a diameter of about 4m, supported only in two places.
- It is located near Złoty Widok, only 40 minutes on foot from our resort.
Interestingly, the group of granite blocks is situated at an altitude of 565 m above sea level, and its balance can be disturbed. To do this, one must climb to the top of the rocks and quickly move from one end of the boulder to the other. The task is not easy but achievable. After these actions, the rock will slightly wobble. Hence its name Chybotek.
The other name for this tourist attraction in Szklarska Poręba is Sugar Bowl, which comes from its shape, resembling a dessert cup - a sugar bowl.
