Zakręt Śmierci Szklarska Poręba
On the edge of the High Ridge in the Izera Mountains in 1937, a military structure was put into use, later called the Death Curve. In case of war, it was to be blown up to hinder the march of enemy troops.
Currently, there is a viewing terrace at this location, from which you can admire the beautiful panorama of the entire Karkonosze Mountains and Szklarska Poręba.
Unfortunately, the nearly 180-degree curve owes its notorious name also to numerous car accidents.
